The Lindisfarne Gospels are in London in the British Museum Library they were stolen from Durham Cathedral by the thugs of Henry VIII.

I am campaigning for their return to St. Mary's Cathedral in Newcastle and the repatriation of the holy remains of St. Bede from Durham Cathedral to the Roman Catholic churches named after St. Bede in Jarrow and South Shields where he can be venerated in the Roman Catholic tradition.

The Anglican Church of England and The British Library and Durham Cathedral are guilty of robbing low income people, unemployed people and the proletariat by charging excessive GB pounds Sterling to see the Lindisfarne Gospels and entry fees to visit Westminster Abbey, York Minster, Canterbury Cathedral and many more places of Christian worship that were once Roman Catholic stolen during the Reformation c1530-1600ad.

This is what Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ drove the money changers out of The Temple in Jerusalem...'they have changed the House of God into a den of thieves' and the Church of England are guilty of this.

One can visit The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and not pay one coin.

I have had a reply from His Holiness, Pope Francis relating to my quest, I have attached the letter I sent to His Holiness and the reply The Vatican sent me stating; ' The Holy Father will remember your intentions in his prayers. He invokes upon you God's abundant blessings.'

I have also had letters of reply attached from The Apostolic Nuncio, His Grace, Archbishop Antonio Mennini stating about The Gospels and St. Bede; ' This is a matter for The Church of England to decide on, possibly in consultation with the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales.'

Also a letter of reply from His Eminence, Cardinal Nichols assuring me of his prayers.

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth answered my letter and told me that she had sent my letter to the Archbishop of Canterbury.

I wrote to him last month but alas no reply.

The Lindisfarne Gospels were created by Roman Catholic scribes and I believe St. Bede had some influence in the translations as he was arguably one of the greatest scribes in the history of the Roman Catholic Church to which he was solidly dedicated.

I am also calling for the repatriation of the Holy remains of St. Cuthbert to be removed from Durham Cathedral and placed in a fitting Roman Catholic home such as St. Mary's Cathedral, Newcastle.
St. Cuthbert was the greatest Roman Catholic miracle creating saint in all of England
and Scotland and I can assure you his miracles will return when he is home.

His shrine along with the shrine of St. Bede were destroyed when Durham Cathedral was desecrated at the hands of the followers of Henry VIII who created The Church of England to suit his demonic ideology and destruction of the Roman Catholic Faith and the veneration of saints in England and the barbaric destruction of monasteries, churches and all things Catholic along with the slaughter of priests.

In Durham Cathedral stands a statue reputedly that of St. Cuthbert next to his tomb his head was cut off during the Reformation.

In his hand he holds the head of St. Oswald who's head was buried with him.

What a sad state of affairs to look upon the headless effigy of St. Cuthbert holding the head of another great Roman Catholic saint.

In The Church of England tradition there are no paintings or icons of St. Bede or St. Cuthbert in Durham Cathedral to remind the faithful of these great English saints and this has got to be rectified now!

Saints alive!
'I am Cuthbert, I am Bede, I am Oswald
devout in the Roman Catholic Faith indeed.
Our hearts are broken in Durham Cathedral once
a Roman Catholic House of God now a basilica of doom and gloom.
Our spirits once roamed through the lightened cloisters and our
brethren rejoiced in our places of rest
until the Reformation desecrated our Apostolic quest.
No more to us the Holy Roman Mass and Consecration of the Body and Blood
of our beloved brother Jesus Christ.
Release our darkened bones from these cold, dank, dark sarcophagus
in this now foreign Acropolis.
Take us from this place of woe
to where the Catholic faith does glow
and enjoy our presence forever mo'.

I would like to draw your attention to The Lindisfarne Gospels that have been
displayed at Durham Cathedral until 30 September 2014 and have now been returned to London.

I have spoken with several of the Cathedral hierarchy, I won't name anyone, and they all agreed with me that The Gospels should be here permanently as this is where they were written by Eadfrith, Prior of Lindesfarne circa 690ad.

Approximately 100,000 people visited The Gospels, however many people such as myself who are pensioners and others on a low budget could not afford to pay £7-£9 to view these holy Gospels that were written by the Apostles of Our Lord Jesus Christ and translated by Eadfrith for everyone to read free of charge.

St. Bede who's sarcophagus is in the Cathedral was present at the period Eadfrith wrote these translations from Latin into Anglo-Saxon or Old English, in fact St. Bede wrote 'The Ecclesiastical History of the English People' and as his death approached he was translating The Gospel of St. John from Latin into English.

Previously St. Bede had written about the life of St. Cuthbert the great saint of Lindesfarne who was born in the Lothian Hills.

St. Bede was regarded as one of the greatest scholars of his age and generations of monks and teachers were trained by the use of his writings.

He wrote on the reasons for the Leap Year the equinox and dating events such as BC and AD and worked out how Easter should be dated each year and even calculated that the world was round he was born in Sunderland he wrote over 74 books relating to Jesus.

In my oppinion and that of many others The Lindesfarne Gospels to be returned to Saint Mary's Cathedral in Newcastle-upon-Tyne permanently and for everyone to see them free of charge forever and may I suggest they could be taken to every Cathedral in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales of all Christian faiths to be shown as this would revitalize our faith as is badly needed.

St. Bede's Cross at Roker Beach on A183 opposite Roker Park, Sunderland is in my opinion
arguably one of the greatest Christian works of art in all of England!
It was reported in The Sunderland Echo on12 April 1903 when it was about to be erected 14 October 1904.

This magnificent wonder of art was created by Charles Hodges of Hexham.
On the base of St. Bede's Cross is carved these immortal words; 'To the Glory of God and in memory of His servant Baeda the Venerable (St. Bede) who was born between Wear and Tyne DCLXXIII and died at Jarrow, Ascension Day DCCXXXV'.

On the North Sea facing part of The Cross which is over 20 feet high are exquisite depictions of St. Bede's life he was and still is the greatest scholar, writer. Philosopher and only Doctor of The Holy Roman Catholic Church on all these islands!

I have attached some photos of the depictions of Our great Saint from this wonder of Sunderland;
From top down; Baeda comes to Jarrow
Benedict & Sicgfrith- The Codex Amiatinus- Baeda writing the history- Baeda's last moments.
On the street facing front of The Cross are the words of St. Bede and let us bear in mind this is The Cross of Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ the living Son of Our Father in heaven from whom our civilization was granted to only us Christians.

St. Bede wrote; 'To the Holy Bishop Eadfrith and the brethren who serve Christ in the island of Lindisfarne. I have not presumed to write down anything of such a man as Our Father Cuthbert without the closest enoviry into the facts nor to publish what I have written without the most careful scrutiny of sure witnesses.
To the most Glorious King Ceoluuf, Baeda servant of Christ and priest at your request.
O King I gladly sent sometime ago my draft of The Church History of The English Race that you might read and approve it. I now send it to you again to be copied out that you may study it more fully at your leisure'.

St. Bede wrote the first ever History of England and the English people he also translated and wrote The Bible, The Codex Amiatinus which is now in Florence, Italy and he also translated and wrote
The Gospel of St. John and over seventy books during his lifetime c 674-734 his early years were spent in St. Peter's monastery in Wearmouth, Sunderland and his adult life in St. Paul's monastery, in Jarrow these were twin monasteries created and built by St. Benedict Biscop and were developed into the greatest academic establishments in all of Europe outside of Rome which was the center of the then known world, indeed St. Bede created the first ever school curriculum which was used for hundreds of years all over Europe.

On the side of St. Bede's Cross facing towards Jarrow are carved face depictions of the great English saints who created the Christian civilization of England from top down; St. Trumberg, St. Benedict Biscop. St. Eggfrith, St. John Sarl Chant, St. Osterwine, St. Sicgfrith, St. Ceolfrith, St. Acca, St. Huatberct, St. Ceoluulf, St. Ecgberct.

I have contacted Sunderland Planning and Conservation Department by telephone 0191 561 1515 and spoke with both Mr. Mark Taylor and Mr. Ian Smithwhite and asked if any conservation of St. Bede's Cross was planned?

Mr. Smithwhite told me today 20 November 2014 that the department were considering some works however, money is very short in these austere times.
I understand the position of Sunderland Council as development is costly and many works are taking place all over this great city.

St. Bede's Cross has been there for over 110 years and the tempestuous North Sea, Acid Rain, dampness, extremities of fumes and emissions from cars, taxis, buses, trucks are devouring the stone and eroding the sacred holy inscriptions and depictions which will in time reduce this wonderful holy icon of The Cross of Our Beloved Lord Jesus and His English saints, to a pile of rubble unless in my humble opinion to completely cover Our Cross of England's Glorious Christian History perhaps in a glass dome or structure and lit up and mariners who pass by on ships in the darkest of night will be able to bless themselves far out in the North Sea and carry them safely to their destinations.

There is a copy of the Lindisfarne Gospels in Sunderland Library the original is in the British Museum/Library in London they were stolen from Durham Cathedral at the Reformation by the hooligans of King Henry VIII and sold to a book dealer.

I am demanding the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral in Newcastle and there they can be shared with St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Sunderland and all other churches in the North East of England where the Gospels belong!

I am also demanding the repatriation of the holy remains of St. Bede, St. Cuthbert and St. Oswald to be removed from Durham Cathedral, and their holy remains to be put in glass caskets and life like faces to be created of these great saints such as in St. Peter's Basilica with St. Pope John XXIII in The Vatican and the same with St. John Southworth in Westminster Cathedral, London.

Then these great English saint can be moved to different churches in the North East of England to be rightfully venerated as they should be!

Perhaps Sunderland Football Club and Nissan Car Company and Newcastle United Football Club could contribute to Sunderland City Council to help conservation.

I can assure anyone that great things will happen for Sunderland and anyone who takes care of Jesus and His Saints, He will take care of you!

I contacted The British Library regarding ownership of The Lindisfarne Gospels and the possibility of them being sent on loan to St. Mary’s Cathedral in Newcastle upon Tyne.
I also asked them for information as to what happen with the considerable sums of money that they charged for people to view them when they were on loan to Palace Green Library, Durham during 2013.

The reply is attached and below;
19th February 2015.
Thank you for your correspondence.

As you pointed out, the Lindisfarne Gospels were once in the possession of Durham Cathedral Priory, according to Symeon of Durham, who refers to them in his twelfth-century ‘Tract on the Origins and Progress of this the Church of Durham.’ After this period there is very little information on how or when the Lindisfarne Gospels left Durham Cathedral Priory.

Lawrence Nowell, an antiquary and lexicographer, is known to have consulted the Lindisfarne Gospels in the 1560s, but he is not believed to have visited Durham.

The name Thomas Turner also appears in the codex, and his annotations have been dated to the early sixteenth century.

The sixteenth-century antiquary Thomas Bowyer (d.1569/70) may also have possessed the manuscript; by 1605, it was in the possession of his son, Robert Bowyer (b. c. 1560, d. 1621), a parliamentary official and politician, who inscribed his signature on the verso page of the second leaf of the manuscript.

In the first few decades of the seventeenth century Sir Robert Bruce Cotton (b. 1571, d. 1631) 1st baronet, antiquary and politician, acquired the manuscript. It was then passed on to his son, Sir Thomas Cotton (b. 1594, d. 1662), and grandson, Sir John Cotton (b. 1621, d.1702).

The Cotton collection, including the Lindisfarne Gospels, was bequeathed to the nation ‘for Publick Use and Advantage’ by Sir John Cotton at his death in 1702. When the British Museum was established in 1753, these manuscripts formed one of the foundation collections of the Museum.

The library of the Museum became the British Library in 1973.

As you note, the Gospels were recently loaned to Palace Green Library, Durham, for an exhibition, and the accompanying book Richard Gameson, From holy Island to Durham:

The Contexts and Meanings of The Lindisfarne Gospels (2013) contains an excellent analysis of the manuscript’s history.

The Library does not have details of the funding for that exhibition.

British Library.

Since I raised this issue about the Lindisfarne Gospels being returned to Roman Catholic care takers as they were written by Roman Catholics at Lindisfarne by St Aidfrith and I am in no hesitation that our wonderful St. Bede would have contributed to the translations as he was the greatest translator, scholar alive at that period and lived at St. Paul’s Monastery at Jarrow and he would have been about 26 years old then and Lindisfarne and St. Paul’s would have had a daily communication along with St. Peter’s Abbey in Wearmouth as they were a short boat trip from each other on the same East Coast of England.

I have had letters of reply and support for my quest from His Eminence Cardinal, Vincent Nichols, His Excellency, Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Antonio Mennini and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

As one may note from the reply from the British Library the Gospels of Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ have been bandied about from pillar to post by God knows who since the Reformation and now being used as a money making venture as over 100,000 people had to pay over £8 per person to view them at Durham this meant that people who were on low pay with a couple of kids or unemployed or pensioners could not afford to view one of the greatest wonders of the world and the source and lifeblood of our civilization.

The Lindisfarne Gospels were written in the North East of England and should be returned there into Roman Catholic safekeeping Now!

It seems quite clear that Knox betrayed everyone around him including his own father by having an affair with his stepmother and anyone that he came into contact with including Wishart who he was with on the night of his capture, Knox was carrying his sword, Cardinal Beaton, Rizzio, Lord Darnley, Mary Stuart and the women who surrounded him in a Charles Manson maniacal devotion.
